Gintama 10 Year Anniversary | Top 10 Moments: #1 (Chapter 14)
And finally, my most favorite moment in all of Gintama.
After their first fight against the Harusame, Shinpachi and Kagura can barely stand. They whine and ask Gin for a piggyback ride home, but Gin denies them and starts walking away. He suddenly has a change of heart, however, and tells them to hurry up and get moving.
Kagura and Shinpachi run to Gin with excitement and hop on his back, all while talking about what they’d like to eat for dinner (much to Gin’s annoyance).
Meanwhile Katsura looks on with a smile on his face and says, “Now that you have them, hold on tightly.”
And this moment means so much to me because Katsura knows the burdens Gin had to carry in the past with the war and the promises to protect and the failures to protect.
Gin said he’d never carry such a heavy burden again, but some years later he found himself with these two kids at his side… and Katsura has faith that Gin can carry them through anything.
has anyone ever stopped to think about what ridiculous animals goats are

????? ?? ? ???????//
SOMEONE FUCKING EXPLAIN THIS SHIT TO ME
"Normally people wouldn’t think of rebelling if they aren’t satisfied with society. Characters in One Piece and Naruto are fighting for their dreams and goals, so even though manga going toward dreams are absolutely necessary, if all manga are like that, some readers might think “well, where should I go if I don’t have any dreams?” Or “what should I do if I didn’t do my best every day?” Then, they read Gintama and see everyone in there is living a lazy life, they’ll feel more at ease. Even if you’re lazy, you can still walk down your path of life, and you need to live well, like that."
Happy 10th Anniversary Gintama. And Congrats Sorachi-sensei!

Gintama 10 Year Anniversary | Top 10 Moments: #2 (Chapter 309)
After the whole crazy battle between the four devas and the district of Kabukicho, everything zeroes in on father and daughter. The field and the blue sky leave all the commotion of a city behind for these two to reunite… and I never felt so god damn emotional.

Gintama 10 Year Anniversary | Top 10 Moments: #8 (Chapter 172)
Gin noticed that Kagura was upset for not having a flashy umbrella like the rest of the girls in Kabukicho, so he bought a new one for her. Kagura spent a ton of time in the rain with her new umbrella as happy as can be, until she saw a couple kids that were in desperate need of one in the typhoon-like weather. With reluctance, Kagura gave her umbrella to the kids and ran off. Now without shelter from the rain, Kagura wandered around town with a sad look on her face. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a uselessly tattered umbrella in an alleyway and picked it up. People laughed at her as she walked down the street with such an ugly umbrella, making Kagura feel bad.
That’s when Gin and Shinpachi showed up and called out to her, “Hey young lady, young lady! You have such a cool umbrella. Would you mind letting us under it? Because ours broke.”
The smile on Kagura’s face and the pep in her step as they walked together was priceless.
